heartache

I saw these images posted on Rag and Bone (I am a native of Rhode Island) and they immediately deflated me. Let's hope this is not what the future holds in store for our libraries. I occupy romantic and perhaps over zealous regard for libraries. Therefore these photographs are painful and so bleak if thought of as an outlook. As a contributor to printed media a la Daily Constitutional, I wonder if we are just adding to the recycle bin.

To give you all some context:

I am poor-ish
I am an artist (American)
I am blissfully ignorant to the art-collecting world.
I have lots of art school debt.

I have to admit I laugh at myself here because as a young, financially challenged American Artist, I have no business even entertaining the idea of taking out a loan (albeit interest free) of any kind to purchase anything...however, it is REALLY appealing.
